COMING OFF LONG ACTING INJECTABLE ANTIPSYCHOTICS

Privacy Policy

Who We Are
COLAIAs is a community-driven forum for sharing experiences with long-acting injectable antipsychotics (LAIAs) and other psychiatric treatments. Our goal is to provide a public, open platform for discussion, organization, and education on these topics.

Why We Created This Site
Online discussions about LAIAs are often difficult to find through search engines. To ensure this vital information is accessible, we created a dedicated forum where users can connect and share experiences openly.

User Responsibility & Moderation
We encourage open discussion but ask all users to remain civil. To protect your privacy, we strongly advise you to be as anonymous as possible. Do not share any personally identifiable information (e.g., your real name, common email address, or other usernames) that you are uncomfortable making public.

Moderation is implemented lightly to foster open dialogue. However, we reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content at our discretion.

Data We Collect
We may collect information you provide, such as your username, IP address, email address, and forum posts. As this is a public website, any information you post is visible to everyone.

Third-party software and embedded content (e.g., videos, images) may also collect data about you, following their own privacy policies.

How We Use and Share Your Data

  • Public Content: Your username and posts are public and may be used to generate search engine results.
  • Third-Party Sharing: We use third-party services (e.g., for website functionality, moderation, or advertising) that may have access to your data. We use a third-party Large Language Model (LLM) for moderation purposes. We created the moderation interface software ourselves, however, and ensure that only the user’s post is provided to the third-party LLM model, without any identifiable information, such as the username, user ID, etc.
  • Private Information: We will not share your unexposed personal information (like your email address) with anyone, except as necessary for website operations (e.g., sending emails).

Data Retention
We retain data indefinitely but may delete it for various reasons, including server storage limits, website migrations, or user bans. While you can delete your account and posts, please note that restoring data from backups may cause deleted information to reappear. You can inform us or your account and post deletions, we will note it down so that in case we restore from backup, we can remove it. However, this is not guaranteed, because we have to manually remove the items, we will inform you personally whether your data was removed after restoring, or you may check yourself.

Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account, you can request to edit or delete your personal data and posts. However, we may override these actions if we determine moderation is necessary.

Policy Changes
This privacy policy may be changed at any time without prior notice. Please check this page for updates.
